# Object overview

The PartnerPage API has many resources, but it is organized around three main objects:

* **Organizations**: companies within the PartnerPage network
* **Directories**: service and integration directories that are publicly accessible on the internet
* **Entries**: partner listings within directories

```
Some details the diagram leaves out:
* Organizations can own directories, entries, or both.
* An organization can own one or more entries in its own directory, in another organization's directory, or both.
* Only one organization can own a directory or entry.
* Entries are not shared across directories. An organization's entry in directory A and its entry in directory B are separate resources.
## Directories
Each directory has a [Universally Unique Identifier (UUID)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universally_unique_identifier) that identifies it in API requests. Most endpoints need the directory's UUID. Some endpoints find a resource from another object's UUID and do not need the directory.
Directory endpoints distinguish between directories you own and directories where one or more of your entries is listed.
