Object overview
How organizations, directories and partner entries relate.
The PartnerPage API has many resources, but it is organized around three main objects:
- Organizations: companies within the PartnerPage network
- Directories: service and integration directories that are publicly accessible on the internet
- Entries: partner listings within directories
Some details the diagram leaves out:
- Organizations can own directories, entries, or both.
- An organization can own one or more entries in its own directory, in another organization’s directory, or both.
- Only one organization can own a directory or entry.
- Entries are not shared across directories. An organization’s entry in directory A and its entry in directory B are separate resources.
Directories
Each directory has a Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) that identifies it in API requests. Most endpoints need the directory’s UUID. Some endpoints find a resource from another object’s UUID and do not need the directory.
Directory endpoints distinguish between directories you own and directories where one or more of your entries is listed.
